Haiti - Elections : 1 or 2 rounds?
During an interview granted Sunday, with journalists of the newspaper Le monde, Radio France Internationale (RFI) and TV5, President Rene Préval declared that the poll of November 28th will be the first Presidential election with 2 rounds in Haiti since 1986.

A declaration which made react yesterday Me. Camille Leblanc, president of the Collective "Aimer Haiti", he recalled that on the legal level it is actually a two-round election, Presidents Jean Bertrand Aristide and Preval was elected in the first round in 1990, 1995, 2000 and 2006 and that the people making this decision at the polls.

Me Camille Leblanc wish that in this announcement, President Préval is not in a manipulative scheme, to try to propel to the second turn the candidate of his party INITE (Unity), Jude Celestin, who in his eyes has no popularity. He believes that if the President has talked about the possibility of a second round, it is because it is conscious of the unpopularity of its candidate.

Note that these last remarks are obviously reading a partisan context, since the collective "Love Haiti" supports the platform "Renmen Ayiti" whose notary Jean Henri Céant is the presidential candidate.
