Haiti - Social : Coteaux and Estère enjoy the benefits of communal funds

As part of the implementation of many projects through communal fund, the population of the South, particularly the commune of Coteaux, will soon benefit from an extension of the grid until Damassaint. A first for these communes of South where people live mainly of fisheries, agriculture and livestock, who had never previously received a large electricity project.

Elsewhere in the commune of Estère (Artibonite Department) the road infrastructure work are on the increase including the rehabilitation of the road section linking Estère to the locality of Mapou, with a length of 1.67 km achieved at the cost of 9 million gourdes. This new road infrastructure will facilitate socio-economic development of the area, especially with respect to trade, but also by facilitating access to the people from here and elsewhere to visit this commune.
