Haiti - Security : The BLTS burn 4,5 tons of drugs
Friday, the Brigade of fight against drug trafficking (BLTS) proceeded in the locality of Mazi, commune of Ganthier, to the destruction of about 4.5 tons of drugs seized during the operations conducted during the past two years.

The operation took place in the presence of Me Jean Renel Sanon Minister of Justice, and Godson Orélus, Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH).

The stock that has been burned consisted of 4,447 kilograms of marijuana seized in major part, in the southern region of the country and 57 kilos of cocaine, including 24 kilograms tested positive.



This initiative is part of the actions conducted by the Martelly administration and Lamothe government to fight relentlessly against drug trafficking throughout the national territory, to protect Haitian society in general and youth in particular of evils of this scourge.



The Government also reiterates its determination to strengthen the PNH and congratulates BLTS for the courage and professionalism it demonstrated in accomplishing its mission to eradicate drug trafficking in all its forms to ensure more stability in the country.
