Haiti - Politic : 204th anniversary of Mexico's independence

On Monday, President Michel Martelly, participated at the hotel Karibe to the launch of the "Week of Mexico" in Haiti to mark the commemoration of the 204th anniversary of the independence of the United States of Mexico.

In the presence of the Ambassador of Mexico in Port-au-Prince, José Luis Alvarado, of uly Brutus, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, of President of the National Assembly, Senator Simon Dieuseul Desras, Heads of Diplomatic Missions and many guests, the Head of State testified of respect to the place of this friendly country and its president, Enrique Pena Nieto.

President Martelly also hailed the courage of the heroes of Mexican independence pointing out that "most of the time, an independence is the culmination of great deeds and heroic acts whose memory will never cease at the heart of the son of the same country [...]"

For his part, Ambassador José Luis Alvarado, while emphasizing the symbolism of the flag for Mexicans, praised the economy of his country and highlighted the many tax-related reforms, energetic and in radio broadcasting.
