Wilson Laleau, the Minister of Trade and Industry (MCI) proceeded during the past weekend to the installation of Support Service to Enterprise (SAE) in the Artibonite and Northwest.

On Friday in Artibonite, the installation ceremony was held at the office of the Delegation, in the presence of mayor of Gonaïves, Steevens Saint-Fleur, Mrs. Carline Joseph, President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Professions of Artibonite, Frico Gustave, District Director of MCI in the Artibonite and more than a hundred entrepreneurs and managers of public institutions in the Artibonite.

Saturday in the Northwest, the installation took place at the local Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Professions of Northwest (CCIPN) in the presence of the Departmental Delegate, Emmanuel Rémy, the Mayor of Port-de-Paix, Ulrick Augustave, Ronald Labranche, President of the CCIPN and a large delegation of business people from the department.

Recall that the SAE is a new structure of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, established within the Development Centre of Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, whose mission is to bring all the services of the Ministry designed to businesses at the level of 10 departments . SAE particularly works to support entrepreneurs to register their businesses, identify the most important sectors of production prepare and develop business plans on priority sectors and help companies involved to develop and market their products.

SAE are each composed of a team of five executives: an economist, an agronomist, anengineer-industrial, a lawyer and an accountant, completed by an administrative assistant and a driver. As for all departments of the country, staff were recruited through a transparent and competitive process that was used to select the best candidates from over 1,200 applicants.

So far, the MCI has already installed these SAE in 5 departments. It remains those of Central, Northern, Southeast, South and Nippes whose deployment is expected before the end of September.

In his remarks for the occasion, the Minister Wilson Laleauurged the new MCI executives to take responsibility and work for the development of businesses and industries throughout their respective departments. In Gonaïves as in Port-de-Paix, the Minister did say by SAE staff that oath taken by participants in chorus: "I ​​pledge before God and the Nation, for future generations to contribute by my words or my actions, to leave a better country than I found and in which I grew up."
