Haiti - Politic : Visit of Minister Guillaume II in Washington DC

As part of an invitation from the Ambassador at Large for investment promotion, Rudolph Moise, the Minister of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE), François Guillaume II, left the country on Tuesday to the United States of America for a two-day visit.

During his visit, the Minister Guillaume, accompanied by a delegation of the Embassy of Haiti in Washington will meet American parliamentarians in order to better inform them about the priorities and advancements of the policy of socio-economic development of Haiti and investment opportunities in the country. He will also hold talks on matters of mutual interest within the framework of bilateral relations Haiti-United States.

During this 48-hour visit, the Minister Guillaume II, will meet Congressman from Florida, Alan Grayson, member of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Chamber of Deputies and Senator Bill Nelson of Florida, member of the Budget Committee which introduced the "Assessing Progress in Haiti act of 2014" signed by President Obama last month. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-10284-haiti-politic-members-of-congress-recognize-progress-in-haiti.html

Remember that this travel s the second of its kind undertaken by François Guillaume II since his arrival at the head of MHAVE. On July 12, he met with American congressmen whose MP Théodore Deutch in Delray Beach, Florida, with the support of the Ambassador of Haiti in Washington, Paul Altidor.
