The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) wishes with the support in particular of the Higher National Institute of Research and Training for Young Disabled and the Adapted Teachings (INSHEA-France) to support children with special educational needs.

A delegation of the INSHEA ed by Jose Puig and Ms. Céleste Bernadette met, Nesmy Manigat, the Minister of Education and Gérald Oriol Jr., Secretary of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities. During this meeting, the Minister Manigat expressed concern over the issue of special education. According to the Minister, special and inclusive education is an important component that must be part of the new school curriculum being developed. Explaining that this aspect whose was responsible until now the Commission on School Adaptation and Social Support (CASAS) now must involve all technical departments of the Ministry.
