Haiti - Politic : 125 scholarships for young Haitian journalists 01/10/2014 11:13:18
Mr. Ady Jean Gardy, former Minister of Communication (2012-2013) and President of the Federation of Haitian Press (FPH) returned Tuesday from a mission to Washington where he had important meetings with members of Congress, State Department and from the Diplomatic Institute and International Affairs, as President of FPH. He received an Award of the Urban University Seminary Board of Governors for his great contribution to the promotion of public communication in compliance with human rights organizations, the struggle against the propaganda and strengthening international relations with West Africa as part of missions organized by the International Center of Journalists of Washington in recent years. Urban University Seminary Board of Governors,established a partnership with him for the realization of his project of Museum of press in Haiti. Ady Jean Gardy was speaker at many conferences at the Central University of Florida then also met with members of the African American Chamber of Central Florida, that have developed with him a modernization program and exchanges between these organizations and the American Federation of Haitian Press. Finally, according to Dr. Timothy Luckas Adams of the Urban University Seminary Board of Governors and the Bethune Cookman University granted 125 scholarships, that Mr. Jean Gardy intends to make available to young Haitian journalists in the coming days.
