Haiti - Education : 134 new normaliens will integrate the public education sector

Monday Nesmy Manigat, the Minister of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) proceeded to a symbolic handing over of appointment letters to 134 graduating students of the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) having completed their training course of 6 months in the field.

The ceremony took place the central office of MENFP with the Director General of the Ministry, Denis Cadeau, Louis Alvarez, a member of the dean of the ENS, several officials from the Ministry including Job Maurice, Director of Secondary Education , Jacques François, Director of human Resources, Jackson Pléteau, Pole Education and Quality and twenty students from the class

During his speech, the Minister Manigat expressed its joice to be able to realize with this act the Memorandum of Understanding recently concluded with ENS, which provides the integration in the public sector of education of graduates of the Ecole Normale Superieure and took the opportunity to reiterate the importance of the teaching permit that will totally change the game in this occupation.

He intends to continue and strengthen this partnership with ENS for the reform of the education sector and stressed that the ministry had already provided twenty scholarships to students of the institution to continue their studies in master in the French Antilles.

For his part, Louis Alvarès, sees this initiative as "a political act which shows the potential for reform proclaimed loudly by the Minister of Education," and hoped that the act is part of a continuity.

The student Lagrandeur Fred Junior, speaking on behalf of his comrades, thanked the Ministry officials stressing that students hope to respond with dignity to the great challenges that await them declaring "it is through education and education alone that the land of Anténor Firmin, Jacques Stephen Alexis of Jacques Roumain and can be reborn from its ashes."
