"Improving access of workers both from the formal sector and the informal sector to the sickness, maternity and work injury insurance, strengthening the social care of street children through the establishment of a network of transit centers and reception centers are the two main objectives of the Ministry of Social Affairs for the year 2013/2014,' declared the Minister Jean Jacques.

The social housing program of thePublic Enterprise for the Promotion of Social Housing (EPPLS), the establishment of community restaurants and bakeries, particularly in remote corners of the country were highlighted by the Minister who stressed that these initiatives have enabled the systematic reduction of poverty in disadvantaged areas especially in the west and the north.
