Haiti - Security : Lener Renauld at the 11th Conference of Defence Ministers of the Americas

Saturday, Lener Renauld, the Minister of Defence, left the country at the head of a delegation, towards the city of Arequipa, Peru, to represent Haiti at the 11th Conference of Defence Ministers of the Americas.

The summit, which runs from October 12 to 14 brings together representatives from 34 countries of the Americas, to discuss the maintenance of a climate of peace in Latin America and the prospects for better cooperation on strategic issues and share their respective experience.

The participants will discuss important issues including: better coordination between the Ministries of Defense of the Americas, problems of military health, of search and rescue, environmental and military defense.

After the conference, a document will be produced and will act as roadmap, for all key issues of security and defense, relating to the various countries of the hemisphere, including Haiti.
