Haiti - Economy : Haiti is progressing in the Doing Business 2015

The latest Report Doing Business 2015 of the World Bank ranks Haiti 180th out of 189 economies, representing an increase of one position over 2014 (181). The Dominican Republic (DR), 84th, ranking unchanged.

At Starting a Business Haiti lost a place, and is ranked 188th (187 in 2014) with 12 cases (8.3 in Latin America and the Caribbean and 4.8 in OECD) a delay of 97 days (30.1 Latin America and the Caribbean and 9.2 in OECD). DR 113 unchanged.

At Dealing with Construction Permits, Haiti won 6 places and is ranked 132 (138 in 2014) with 8 procedures (13.3 Latin America and the Caribbean and 11.9 in OECD), a delay of 71 days (178.3 Latin America and the Caribbean and 149.5 in OECD) . The 96th RD, won 9 places.

At Getting Electricity Haiti won 1 place and is ranked 94th (95 in 2014) with 4 procedures (5.5 in Latin America and the Caribbean and 4.7 in OECD) a delay of 60 days (67.4 Latin America and the Caribbean and 76.8 in OECD). DR 119th loses 5 places.

At Registering Property Haiti won 1 place and is ranked 175th (176 in 2014) with 5 procedures (7 in Latin America and the Caribbean and 4.7 in OECD), a delay of 312 days (63.3 Latin America and the Caribbean and 24 in OECD) for 7.1% of the value of the property (6.1 in Latin America and the Caribbean and 4.2 in OECD). DR 82nd unchanged.

At Getting Credit, Haiti lost 2 places and is ranked 171st (169 in 2014). DR 89th, lost 3 places.
