Friday the fashion and accessories boutique Kenneth Cole, the first brand store of a foreign designer in Haiti, located in the new hotel Kinam will open its doors to the public, thanks to the initiative of two Haitian associates, Valérie Pompée and Sandrine Nau.

"Kenneth Cole is a brand that I represent in my other shops and I could see the enthusiasm of the public. These are quality products at an affordable price," explains Valérie Pompée, young entrepreneur, owner of several clothing stores and accessories in Petion-Ville, who chose to invest in a new adventure with a partner.

Business relationships developed with Kenneth Cole Production for 14 years, by Valérie Pompée were valuable to them to do this project. Even though it is not directly associated, the designer's interest to Haiti is real and materialized by a philanthropic project through his foundation, the construction of a health center in Cite Soleil that provides access to medical care to thousands of people in the metropolitan area.

First of its kind in Haiti, Kenneth Cole store is also experimenting an original concept: a portion of the profits from each purchase that will be made will be donated to the Health Center Kenneth Cole Haiti.

"A line of T-shirts, specifically developed by Kenneth Cole in collaboration with the Haitian designer Grégory Vorbe, will be sold for the exclusive benefit of the Health Center. For purchases made in Haiti, the funds collected will only go to The Kenneth Cole Haiti Health Center (KCHHC) of St. Mary Hospital in Cité Soleil. Note that the KCHHC is part of a collaborative three-tier medical system, which works in partnership with the Saint-Luc Foundation, a Haitian organization employing more than 1,000 people in Haiti that provides education, medical care, and humanitarian awareness through key programs.
