President Martelly arrived in Quito
President Michel Martelly and Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe arrived yesterday evening at the Mariscal Sucre International Airport, Quito (Ecuador) on a Boing 737 of the "Fuerza Aérea Ecuadorian" as part of an official visit to strengthen cooperative ties with that country, they were greeted by Ricardo Armando Patiño Aroca, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Integration, before receiving military honors on the tarmac. The flood victims have regained their home
The Ministry of Public Works, the Metropolitan Solid Waste Collection Service, the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Defence, continue the cleaning operations of the city of Cap-Haitien after the floods. More than 6,000 victims in the great north, used emergency shelters made available by the Haitian government. In the north, over 5,400 people have returned to their home with a hygiene kit and dry rations. 800 other persons accommodated in the North East have also regained their homewith hygiene kit with dry ration informed the Prime Minister.

The MHAVE has 20 years
Created in 1994 based on the observation of the importance of weight and value of the Haitian diaspora in the economic and social life of the country, Saturday the Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE) commemorated the 20th anniversary; a ministry, that serves as an interface between the Haitian Diaspora communities and the "Alma Mater" and offers by its transversal nature, almost all services of the Haitian State or Government to the Diaspora.

2nd edition of the International Book Fair
The Ministry of Culture and the National Directorate of Books inform that the 2nd Edition of the International Book Fair will be held on 11, 12 and 13 December at the Municipal Palace of Delmas on the theme "Sharing knowledge to change the world." The guest of honor this year will be Haitian writer Michel Soukar.
