Haiti - Economy : Progress of the construction of the public market of Pignon
The construction of the public market of the commune of Pignon (North Department, Borough of Saint-Raphael) implemented by the Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation are continuing at a satisfactory pace (50% completed).
The new market of Pignon is designed around a central hexagonal building connected to three other rectangular buildings whose the connection is made by two buildings quadrant forming an impressive piece of architecture. The market will feature 346 stationary sales kiosks and 42 mobile booths with modular structures for special events.
In addition, the market will include offices and service areas. It is also planned to build 25 parking spaces,
an internal road of 345 linear meters bypassing and giving access to buildings, an elevated water tank with a capacity of 20.000 gallons fed by a well, complemented by green spaces and a fence of 510 linear meters.
