Haiti - Politic : Unanimous, senators wish to remain in office after January 12
From 3 to 5 December at Club Indigo on the Côte des Arcadins, senators met in retirement in order to adopt a common institutional position on the pre-electoral crisis that continues to worsen a little more each day.

On the agenda include: the analysis of the situation and proposals for solutions; the institutional vacuum and ways to address it and the nature of an open government or of consensus.

Dieuseul Simon Deras, President of the Senate claims to have obtained the guarantee of his colleagues, that the 20 senators will participate in this retreat, even if he think that it is unlikely that they all gathered together at the same time, because of the constraints of their personal agenda.

Moreover, senators seem to agree unanimously on one point, that to remain in office after January 12, 2015, for those whose mandate expires.
