Haiti - Social : «Sustainable development and integration of the disabled»
Friday in the perspective of promoting a better understanding of disability issues and mobilize all sectors of society around the dignity, rights and values of people with disabilities for better inclusion; the Office of the Secretary of State (Gérald Oriol Jr.) for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities (BSEIPH) and its partners: the Organization of American States (OAS), Christian Blind Mission (CBM), HANDICAP, World vision, PLAN, and the disability organizations networks, organized a round table composed of two panels on the theme "Sustainable development and integration of the disabled".

Ilionor Louis, Professor at the Faculty of Ethnology and the Faculty of Human Sciences, was the moderator of this Round Table. A hundred people, mostly representatives of the private and public sectors, students, schoolchildren, professionals, representatives of associations of Persons with Disabilities and international organizations took part in this table.

First panel :
Jessie A. Muscadin, the National Secretary of the National Associative Network for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities (RANIPH), gave an overview of the prospects and made a presentation entitled "From the struggle for the integration of people with disabilities Haiti" and Me Jean Vandal, Legal Expert, Consultant, presented the legal framework on disability in Haiti

Second panel :
Vanessa Stimphil, Mémorante in Social Work, Faculty of Human Sciences (UEH / FASCH), made a presentation entitled "Living together, equal and different" and Mr. Joseph Alexis of Accessibility Program Manager CBM-Haiti) made a presentation entitled "From accessibility in Haiti: a stepping stone towards sustainable development".
