Haiti - Education : 69 students of CFEF, graduated
Thursday the last two student promotions (1999-2002) and (2000-2003) of the Training Centre for Basic Education (CFEF), were honored at a graduation ceremony held at the premises of the institution in Martissant.

Chaired by Ecclésiate Télémaque, Deputy Director General of the Ministry (DGA), the ceremony was attended by senior officials of the Ministry, representatives of the office of the Minister of Education, Nesmy Manigat and former Prime Minister Jacques Edouard Alexis, sponsor of the promotion.

In his intervention Ecclésiate Télémaque stressed the Ministry's efforts in order to achieve quality education in the country and was pleased to see new executives trained, ready to put their knowledge to serve the country.

For his part Fortenel Thélusma, Director of CFEF, urged the education professionals to fulfill their tasks with passion and fairness. He also took the opportunity to honor some collaborators, including teachers, for their seniority, reliability and quality of work.

Jacques Edouard Alexis retraced some of the highlights of the actions of educational reform, which had notably led to the creation of CFEF under his administration as Minister of Education and recalled that the Fundamental School of Application / Teaching Support Centre (EFA / CAP) have been designed in order to channel the trained professionals within the CFEF. Addressing some advice to the graduates, the sponsor of the promotion spoke of rectitude, righteousness, and sense of honor "the moderation, the weighting must be essential elements especially if one wants to be a good teacher [...] You have a responsibility now to work for quality education as advocated by the Minister Manigat, whose it is necessary to support the efforts to recover the system."
