Haiti - Diplomacy : The Core Group welcome the decision of the President and Prime Minister

Sandra Honoré, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Haiti and other members of the international community in Haiti represented in the "Core Group" (the Ambassadors of Brazil, Canada, France, Spain, United States of America, the European Union, and the Special Representative of the Organization of American States) welcome the decision taken by the President of the Republic on 12 December https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-12719-haiti-flash-i-agree-with-the-recommendations-that-were-made-dixit-michel-martelly.html to pursue the implementation of the recommendation of the Presidential Advisory Commission in a manner that enjoys broad consensus, preserves stability and builds confidence in the democratic process.
The process undertaken by President Michel Martelly to meet with a range of actors across different sectors of the country, which has led to this important work of the Commission, represents a step forward towards the resolution of the ongoing political and electoral crisis.
