In accordance to the recommendations of the Presidential Consultative Commission https://www.haitilibre.com/docs/Rapport-Final-de-La-Commission-Consultative-Presidentielle.pdf in a letter dated Thursday, December 18, the 9 electoral advisers of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) presented in a patriotic gesture their resignation to the President Martelly in order to contribute to the resolution of the crisis "We have the honor, following the report of the Presidential Consultative Commission established by presidential decree on 28 November 2014 after consultations with the three powers of the State at the origin of selection of members of the Provisional Electoral Council, to present our resignation, pursuant to a resolution in plenary Wednesday, December 17, 2014."

The advisers say they ready to leave their office upon installation of new advisers.
