Haiti - NOTICE : Cry of a mother in distress

Monday, during an interview with HaitiLibre and Radio Préférence FM, Mrs. Andrémise Edouard, a Petit-Goâvienne, launched an SOS to the country's authorities.

"I request the moral support of the leaders of my country so that I can find my 10 year old boy, Ricardo Edouard entrusted after the earthquake in January 2010 to an orphanage of Gressier led by Pastor Jean Fritz Nicolas and his wife. I did this because I was sick, I thought I was dying and I did not want Ricardo live in the streets and is delivered to himself [...]

On Sunday, November 31, 2014, I received around 7:00 pm a call from Pastor Jean Fritz Nicolas and his wife. They told me that since Sunday, 23 November 2014 they had excluded my child from the orphanage and they sent him to me. To date, I have never seen Ricardo Edouard, he has not come home.

Worried, I went to the Peace Judge of Gressier, Me Lucien George. Accompanied by his clerk, the judge went to the scene, that is to say the local orphanage in order to prepare the minutes. He questioned the Pastor Jean Fritz Nicolas and his wife about the fate of my child.

Instead of helping me find the little Ricardo, Pastor Fritz and his wife proffered threats against me, accusing me of wanting to use this case to extort money to them.

I do not know where my child is. I therefore claims the moral support of everyone. I ask the President of the Republic, parliamentarians, human rights organizations, women's organizations to bring me their solidarity..."

If you have any information on the little Ricardo, call (509) 3106-4470 / 3661-0599
