The President of the Republic and his wife, the First Lady of the Republic. The President of the Senate of the Republic, The President of the Chamber of Deputies, The President of the Court of Cassation The President of the Superior Court of Auditors, The Prime Minister appointed Ministers, Secretaries of State, Directors General and Executives of the Public Service, Financial and technical partners of Haiti, Workers of the press spoken, written and televised To each of you, fellow citizens of the inside and outside. On the last day of 2014 which underwent many upheavals, I have a thought for all of you : You who are forced to work that night to the services of others, You who celebrate the New Year with your family, friends, You who unfortunately do not have the means to consider and even less to party to mark this obligatory passage of a new year hoping however that it becomes a new era. I want to address myself to each of you by being the bearer of a message of hope, a message of faith in life and in the future. I want to say every Haitian that in the midst of the joys and sorrows of life, there is still means to remake the unity effort that has earned us our independence in January 1804, and thus build a more socially just Haitian nation, economically strong and politically free. A Haiti, which gives everyone a chance, through his work, effort, merit, competence, apart from any other consideration. A Haiti where the future may be contemplated with more confidence. A Haiti in which the live is better. The task is huge, but as saying one of our compatriot : that other Haiti is still possible ! We must believe and cling to it with great conviction and determination by each taking a personal commitment to contribute. It is a huge task, but that we can only accomplish together looking in the same direction. January 1st, the day of our independence remains a symbol of reconciliation and rapprochement. Haiti needs Union to face the crisis and to face the multiple challenges and unexpected threats. The collective life is always a delicate balance that we need to make the effort to maintain. It is in this spirit of appeasement and tolerance that I wish from my heart that 2015 be for Haiti, for all of you, to all who are dear to you, a successful year made of reconciliation , unity in diversity, Peace and happiness May God bless us all, May God bless our homeland Haiti."
