Haiti - Security : A truck from Haiti seized in the Dominican Republic
Wednesday, a 45-feet container truck, Freightliner brand orange, registered 303672, from Haiti, was seized by the authorities of CESFRONT (Cuerpo de Seguridad Fronteriza Terrestre).

The truck was stopped at the post of military control of the community of Botoncill in Villa Vasquez Montecristi, where it was taken to Dajabón where it was opened.

The inspection operation took place on the esplanade of the Directorate General of Customs and was led by Brigadier General Carlos Aguirre Reyes. Aboard the truck were found hundreds of boxes of different brands of whiskey and cigarettes, televisions, washing machines, textiles and other goods.

According to reports, the truck departed from Haiti on Wednesday morning and made road through the Dajabón customs, without any kind of permission. An investigation is underway to determine how the truck was able to cross the border without documents and if they are contraband goods...
