At a press conference, Colonel Damián Arias, spokesman of the Santiago police in the Dominican Republic, informed of the capture and imprisonment, of two members of a gang composed of Dominicans and Haitians specializing in armed robbery in several beauty salons of the sector "El Ensanche Libertad". These criminals, robbed clients, their mobile phones and money under the threat of their weapons before fleeing.

These criminals have been identified by the police and by victims who had filed a complaint to the Police Station, they are : Danelson Lexavier Vargas and Frankely Hernández Rodríguez (two Dominican), who were accompanied by two Haitian nationals only known as Willy and Monky Black, who are fugitives and actively sought.

Furthermore, Colonel Damián Arias said that several handguns were also seized by members of the Criminal Investigations Division, commanded by Major Santo Ureña.
