Wednesday, Wilson Laleau the new Minister of Economy and Finance, met the Strategic Orientation Committee which includes the General Directors and Coordinators of organisms technically deconcentrated and decentralized put under the Ministry.

The meeting took place around the situation of public finances of the state, in view of the preparation of an amending budget, adapted to the priorities of the new government. Among other provisions adopted, the Minister insisted on the development of a roadmap of actions and policies to be implemented in order to ensure the conditions for a sustainable economic recovery.

Wilson Laleau has sounded the alarm to expose the fragility of the economic and financial situation, while stressing the need to declare a state of economic emergency in the country. He took advantage of the presence of these officials to share his vision of the "Pact for Employment and Economic Growth" which will be written with all the stakeholders and that he wishes submit shortly to the Prime Minister, Evans Paul.

Recall that the Strategic Orientation Committee, has the function to improve coordination between the activities of the different Services of the Ministry with the sector policy in term of program, budget and timetable.
