Haiti - Literature : Dany Laferrière at Grevin Museum
The writer and Quebec screenwriter, of Haitian origin, the academician Dany Laferrière (61 years), will enter the The Grevin Museum of Montreal (5th floor of the Eaton Centre) next year.
It is the sculptor Claus Veltee (in charge of the head) and craftsmen of the workshops of The Grévin Museum in Paris who realized the official measures and the body scan of Dany Laferrière. Molding of his hands was also performed. The head of our famous writer, after adjustments made, following comments from Dany is now completed (Phase I).
Six months of work will be necessary for a team of 15 people to make a wax statue of the immortal, as real as nature. The statue of Dany will be presented in early June 2015.
