Haiti - FLASH : Several towns under water in the North
Following the heavy rains that hit the North Region having caused flooding in several common, because of flooding including of rivers Limé, Grande Rivière du Nord, Borgne and Bayeux, a delegation led by Dr. Ariel Henry, the new Minister of the Interior and Local Authorities, is on site to assess the damage and coordinate the first aid for the victims.

The Ministry of Communication informs that "The President Martelly and Prime Minister Paul have passed formal instructions to the relevant government bodies to support victims and encourage the resumption of activities in areas affected by the weather.

On behalf of the Government, the Ministry of Communication expresses its solidarity with the citizens of the North and urge the population to strictly follow the instructions of the competent authorities in term of Civil Protection and environment."
