The association Haïti Future accepting applications for the Scholarship Valencia Mongérard in Economic expertise, for the academic year 2015-2016.

This scholarship in France for a period of 2 years from the Université Paris-Est Marne la Vallée aims to provide training in graduate level (2nd cycle university) to a young haitian student for a Master 1: Economic Expertise and a Master 2: Expertise for Employment and Skills (issues-oriented training of employment) or "Development Economics and International Project Management" (Master oriented towards the international economy and theories of development, delivered in English only).

Candidate Profile :

Haitian national residing in Haiti
Be aged under 26
- Having a degree in economics
- Justify very good academic results
- Good analytical skills and synthesis
- Commit to return to work in Haiti for at least 5 years
- Good knowledge of English

Your application must contain the following documents :

Curriculum Vitae
Letter (maximum 2 pages) describing your background, academic and professional; your interest in the master and future projects
Academic results (from Baccalauréat II to the last year of license)
Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.

Selection Criteria :

Academic results
Future Projects (return engagement in the country)
Family and financial situation
Human and interpersonal skills (teamwork, honesty, sense of responsibility...)
Involvement in associations and social activities

The final results will be announced in May 2015.

The candidate selected must go to Paris in the month of September 2015. Arrived in Franche he/she will have to be involved within the Association Haïti Futur, coordinator of the scholarship

Extract of his birth certificate after February 1, 2008
Graduation Diploma (Licence)

Established in 2010, a partnership between Haïti Future, the Groupe Alpha and Université Paris-Est Marne la Vallée, this scholarship is awarded in tribute to Mongérard Valencia, a former student Emeritus of the University of Marne-la-Vallée, a former intern at the Groupe Alphaand member of Haïti Futur, died at the age of 24 at the Institut Aimé Césaire, during the earthquake of 12 January 2010.
