Haiti - Justice : Kherson Darius Charles condemns the intimidation, threats and calls for violence

Tuesday, Kherson Darius Charles, Government Commissioner of the Public Prosecutor at the Court of First Instance of Port-au-Prince in a press release, while recognizing the right of all to use exclusively peaceful means to express their claims "deplores and condemns the intimidation, threats and calls for violence that marred Monday's strike in the metropolitan area https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13155-haiti-economy-transit-strike-incidents-and-more-than-20-arrests.html

In no case, justice can tolerate that peaceful citizens are forced to cease their activities or does not circulate. The competent authorities will not fail to take action against anyone who would dare to obstruct the public road and to attack drivers and members of the population who going about their business. Justice will fully and completely assume its responsibilities by pursuing the perpetrators that tend to undermine democratic gains."

In addition, Kherson Darius Charles, informs the public, that in order to receive complaints from victims of threats, intimidation,assault and any related offense, a special office of grievances was opened to the public prosecutor of the Court of First Instance of Port-au-Prince.
