Haiti - Politic : The Prime Minister Paul made his declaration of assets

On Monday, Prime Minister Evans Paul made his declaration of assets, at the Registry of the Court of First Instance of Port-au-Prince.

At the end of his declaration of assets Evans Paul, explained "I just made my declaration of assets [...] all the people who are serving the people must first respect the Constitution of the country comply with the Act. The Constitution requires to make a declaration of assets [...] the law of 12 February 2008, Article 8 gives a period of 30 days after taking office [...] I took office January 16, 2015, today is February 16, it's exactly 30 days.

I came here to make my declaration of assets, and also to tell you that we have no other compass that the law [...] at the same time I appeal all new general directors, to respect the requirements of the Constitution, the requirements of the Act, which requires them to do their declaration of assets.

Why the declaration of assets ? It's to view what wealth gap exists between the time you took office and when you leave it [...] to see meanwhile what the person has accumulated and if the person has won matches with the salary it was receiving. It is a way to curb corruption that there is always in the country [...]"
