Haiti - Politic : Carnival of Flowers, President Martelly remains open...
Thursday at the Karibe Hotel, during the 2nd Edition of the "Plezi Kanaval Awards", the President Martelly, under the insistent demands of artists and sponsors present at this evening regarding the holding or not this year, of the 4th Edition of Carnival of Flowers in Port-au-Prince, said he was ready to meet the private sector in order to find the means to organize the Estival carnival.

The Head of State reiterated that it returned to him alone to know whether or not such a cultural event has to take place "Se mwen ki gen dwa deside si ap gen kanaval. E si pèp la mande kanaval, m ap ba l kanaval" (it is me who can decided if there will be a carnival. And if the people demand a carnival, I'll give them a carnival) under the cheers of an audience filled with hope...
