Haiti - Security : The Youth Observatory Haitian sounds the alarm

The Youth Observatory Haitian, a platform that brings together dozens of youth organizations of the civil society on the whole territory, believes urgent to sound the alarm about a worrying situation that confronts the young victim since the beginning of 2015 of the growing insecurity in Haiti.

Among other cases, the Observatory quote :

Sunday, January 4, Gavenson Joseph, a young man aged 20, was shot dead near his home in Petite Rivière de l'Artibonite. ;

Friday, February 13, the young Emmanuel Sanon, was shot to the ruelle Nazon at the exit of a shopping center. The same day in the same circumstance, another young man was shot in Tabarre 27 ;

Saturday, February 21 after the funeral of the victims of the carnival, Kinderson Edras (17) who was in the vicinity, was pummeled and arrested by agents of the Specialised unit of the National Palace Guard (USGPN) and placed in the National Penitentiary, accused of having assaulted the President of the Republic. A charge denied by human rights organizations ;

Monday, February 23 Chedlet Guilloux a young student was pummeled by agents of the Superior Court of Auditors and Administrative Disputes (CSC/CA), because he was in the vicinity of a burning bus, belonging to the institution. Wednesday, March 4, a young student Mackendy Orelien, lost his life near his school, after being hit by projectiles. The same day Pierre Félix Boursiquot, a student in Rétho class at Catherine Flon College in Carrefour, succumbed to his injuries after being hit by bullets fired by individuals on a motorcycle ;

Faced with this situation of increasing insecurity the Youth Observatory Haitian, called state authorities to take all necessary measures in order to contain the phenomenon of insecurity, protect Haitian youth, make the arrest and prosecution of the perpetrators in order to bring justice to victims.
