Haiti - Elections : Fanmi Lavalas gets his ticket for the next elections

Yanick Mézile, Vice-President of the presidential party, "PHTK" confirmed that the party will participate in all planned national elections, saying that in case of victory "We will continue with the vision of President Michel Martelly : the education for all children, combating poverty, improving living conditions of Haitians [...]" indicating that the choice of the candidate to the Presidency had not yet been decided, but that she is not a candidate for any elective position.

Among other political organizations who obtained their ticket for the next elections include among others "Konsyans patriyotik" de l’ancien Ministre de la Défense et ex-sénateur Rodolphe Joazile, "Kontra Pèp la" of the former Senator Jean William Jeanty, "Alliance pour la Libération et l’Avancement d’Haïti" (ALAH) of Reynold Georges, "Pou Nou Tout" (PONT) the former Senator Evallière Beauplan of PONT, stated that Kély Bastien (North) and Jean Tholbert Alexis (West), will represent the party in the upcoming senatorial and the "Mouvement Revolutionaire Ayisyen" of the former senatoe Wetsner Polycarpe. Many other political party leaders have traveled to the directorate of electoral operations to register or confirm their registration before Friday.

No new to date for the participation in the next elections of the "Patriotic Movement for Democratic Opposition" (MOPOD), a platform which brings together several of the radical opposition parties, nor the Platform "Pitit Desalin" led by the former Senator Moïse jean-Charles. According to our informations these two platforms should make their position known on Thursday or tomorrow last deadline, at the latest.
