Haiti - Justice : 2 Haitians arrested for assault and motorcycle theft in DR

Two Haitian undocumented, threatened with a weapon, a Dominican, César de los Santos Alcántara (60), forcing him to get off his bike, hit him violently before fleeing with his CG200 motorcycle. The incident occurred at the section Cañada Segura of municipal district Carrera de Yeguas in the Dominican Republic.

Quickly alerted the Dominican police, got on the track of the two suspects. A few hours later, after having abandoned the motorcycle, both Haitians were trying in vain to flee before being arrested by the police in the municipality of Las Matas de Farfán (Province of San Juan). When arrested, the police seized on one of the two men a 380 caliber weapon.

The two individuals of Haitian origin (31 and 26 years) admitted their crime and will soon be brought before the courts on charges of assault with a weapon, robbery and assault and battery. According to a police source, the criminals would come from Hinche in Haiti.
