Thursday, March 26, 2015, as part of the "Quinzaine de la Francophonie" in Haiti, will be held a regional symposium on the theme "University Women, women of power in Haiti and the Caribbean" organized at the initiative of the Caribbean Office the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) in partnership with the Ministry of Women and Women's Rights and Quisqueya University.

Multiple facets of the issue of gender equality will be discussed at this regional conference such as women's access to positions of responsibility in the business, the public policies in favor of women including: women's access to education, the place of women in higher education and access to university positions...

The keynote speaker of the symposium are Rose Lourdes Élysée (Haiti), María Isabel Soldevila (Dominican Republic), Yolanda Wood (Cuba), Corinne Mence-Caster (Guadeloupe) and Denyse Côté (Quebec)

Mrs. Yves Rose Morquette, Minister for the Status of Women and Women's Rights will open the symposium
