Extension of the application deadline
Pierre Louis Opont, President of the Provisional Electoral Council informs that on request of parties and political groupings approved and after deliberation in plenary, the period previously granted to proceed to the submission of candidacy [14 April 2015] is extended to Thursday, April 23, 2015, inclusive. The Council states, moreover, that the online pre-registration process will end Wednesday, April 22 at midnight.

Already 603 pre-registered candidates
According to Philippe Augustin Director of the Electoral Register, as of Wednesday, 533 candidates for deputies and 70 to the Senate have pre-registered online. Only 31 candidates of that number submitted their complete record within the Departmental Electoral Office (BED) of South and West and are officially registered for the parliamentary elections.

Lavalas presents its candidates
Wednesday, during a rally at the Aristide Foundation in Tabarre, the political organization Fanmi Lavalas presented its candidates for the news legislative. FUSION announces fifty candidates
The Fusion of Haitian Social Democrats (FUSION) informed that as of Tuesday, fifty candidates to the Senate and to the deputation had been pre-register online.

Primary of the OPL
The Organization of People in Struggle (OPL) will hold its primary on April 26 to choose its presidential candidate, between Sauveur Pierre Etienne, Coordinator of OPL, former Senator Edgar Leblanc and senators Francisco Delacruz and Anick Joseph.
