Haiti participated in the XIII Central American and Caribbean University Games who stand for the third time in its history in Santo Domingo, capital of the Dominican Republic. These games involved more than 1,000 athletes competing in 11 disciplines began on October 1st and end on October 10. Haiti is present in two sports: Basketball and Taek-won-do

Sunday, October 3rd - LOSS

Haiti - Dominican Republic (41-101)

Bad day for the Haitian team that has suffered a serious setback against the Dominican team (41-101) for his first match despite everything the effort of the winger Makinzi Saint-Hubin alias Gorille, who proved to be the best player on the Haitian side with 22 points and 9 rebounds.

Haiti - Salvador (64-52)

For its second match in the tournament Basketball, Haiti beat El Salvador (64-52). The interior, Jephté Coriolan from the "Université de Port-au-Prince" and Christopher Philémon the center of the "Université de l´Académie Haïtienne" were the architects of the Haitian victory by counting respectively 25 and 18 points. After their crushing defeat against the host country, our players were finally able to raise his head proudly.

Haiti - Panama (67-56)

Definitely in form, Haiti has claimed another victim in the basketball tournament by beating Panama (67-56) thanks to Christopher Philémon (19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks), Jephté Coriolanus (15 points), Pascal Jeune (15 points) and Jimmy Rock (11 shots, including 3 points awarded). The Haitian team will face Curacao on Wednesday afternoon.
