Haiti - Religion : Visit of Cardinal Chibly Langlois in Taiwan

At the official invitation of the Taiwanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a Haitian episcopal delegation, led by Cardinal Chibly Langlois, Bishop of Les Cayes and Mgr. Pierre-André Pierre, Rector of the University Notre Dame d'Haiti, is visiting Taiwan until Thursday.

During his visit, Cardinal Chibly Langlois will in particular be received by President Ma Ying-jeou, will participate in the celebrations marking the 90th anniversary of the Fu Jen Catholic University, in New Taipei and attend the signing of a cooperation agreement between this institution and the University Notre Dame of Haiti. He should also celebrate a Mass in the Church of the Holy Family (Taipei).

In addition, pleasure and discovery visits are also on the program of the delegation, from Lake of the Sun and the Moon, in the district of Nantou, up to the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial and the National Palace Museum (Taipei).

The Haitian delegation will also be received at the Cardinal Tien Hospital, to Caritas-Taiwan, and the Museum of World Religions, in New Taipei.
