Friday at the National Palace, the President Michel Martelly, accompanied by the Prime Minister, Evans Paul, has awarded the National Order, to the Grade of Grand Cross Silver Plaque, Jose Luis Machado, the Brazilian Ambassador to Haiti in end of his mission.

During the ceremony, which was attended by several members of the diplomatic corps, the Head of State expressed his satisfaction with the Brazilian diplomat "This ceremony gives me the opportunity to honor the outstanding work you have accomplished at the head of the Brazilian Embassy in Haiti. I welcome the quality of friendship and solidarity relations that have developed between Haiti and Brazil during your stay. I pay tribute to Ms. Dilma Rousseff, for the action and understanding of her Government to Haiti. That success is at the rendezvous where your diplomatic career will lead you ! Vive Friendship and Haitian-Brazilian Cooperation."

Jose Luis Machado thus ends three years of mission on the Haitian territory. He told that this period will have provided him many memories of a cordial and productive collaboration with the current administration for the benefit of the two brotherly countries.
