Haiti - Politic : Private Bus and free moving for voluntary returns
Dominican immigration services have expanded the facilities provided free of charge to foreigners who join the voluntary return program in their home country.

Major General Rubén Paulino Sem, Director of Immigration informed that foreigners who join the voluntary return program now will travel in private buses more comfortable than those initially available to them and that instead of returning with two suitcases in their country, they will be able now return safely with all their goods, through the made available to them for free of moving trucks," adding that the decision was taken following numerous foreign calls asking these facilities to be able to return to their country without inconvenience."

He clarified that the change of buses of migration, by private bus reflected the interest of the Dominican authorities to allow foreigners to travel more comfortably, and to make them feel "more confident in the voluntary return plan."

Rubén Paulino Sem recalled that the deadline for voluntary return expired July 6, 2015, and called on people in an irregular immigration status to use without fear these buses and trucks at their disposal.

Private buses and trucks to transport moves, are available from Monday to Saturday, 08: 00 to 05: 00 in the afternoon. These vehicles are located in prominent places. especially in the avenues Maximo Gomez et Ortega and Gasset, around the Olympic Center Juan Pablo Duarte, and opposite the "gobernaciones" of San Pedro de Macorís, La Altagracia, Santiago, Valverde, Barahona, and San Juan de la Maguana among others.

Note that since last June 18 17,456 Haitian nationals returned voluntarily to Haiti, a figure in net increase which has now reached almost 2,000 returns per day, according to border controls.
