Haiti - Politic : Reginald Boulos resigns from CSS
The businessman Reginald Boulos, one of three employer representatives sitting to the Superior Council of Salaries (CSS), submitted his resignation to Victor Benoit, the Minister of Social Affairs and Labour.

Resignation letter of Reginald Boulos :

"Mr. Minister,

For two years, I offer voluntary a participation in the Superior Council of Salaries. I point out the word voluntary because I have always refused to receive any chips fees (frais de jetons), of participation or any other charges.

Moreover, since the establishment, Council expenditure has always been incurred directly by the Ministry of Social Affairs for CSS.

I just learned that current accounts were recently opened in the name of the Superior Council of Salaries, without Board approval.

My participation in CSS is the result of a personal commitment to serve my country. Once the Council has a responsibility to managements of public funds, I see myself compelled to offer my resignation to the Government of the Republic as a member of the Superior Council of Salaries. Please convey to the President of the Republic my sincere thanks for having accepted the choice that had made of me the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to represent it in the CSS.

Please receive, Mr. Minister, the cordial greetings.

Mr. Evans Paul, Prime Minister
Me Gregory Mayard, Chief of Staff of President
Mr. Fritz Robert Saint Paul, President of the CSC/CA
Mr. Chris Handal, President of the CCIH"

Recall that the CSS is composed of 9 members : 3
union representatives (Jean Bonald Golinsky Fatal, Jean Franck Noisimond, Louis Fignolé St Cyr) ; 3 Government representatives (Marie France H. Mondésir, Renan Hédouville, Daniel Altiné) and 3 employer representative (Réginald Boulos, Jean Dany Pierre François, Norma Powel).
