Haiti - Security : Sandra Honoré condemns the murder of Wikenson Bazile 07/07/2015 12:12:28
The Special Representative of the Secretary-General hopes that the investigation initiated by the National Police of Haiti (PNH) will help quickly determine the motive for this odious crime and bring the perpetrator or perpetrators to justice. The thoughts of the SRSG are with the family and colleagues of Mr. Bazile, to whom she presents its deepest condolences. Calling upon all Haitians to reject and denounce violence in all its forms and especially during the electoral period, Sandra Honoré stresses the importance for all sectors and at all levels of society, to engage firmly in peaceful and legitimate activities "Only a democratic process and credible, transparent and inclusive elections will enable Haiti to embark on the path of stability and development for all."
