Haiti - Culture :

For the fourth consecutive year, "Artisanat en Fête", the largest craft fair in the country, organized by the Research Institute for the Promotion of Handicrafts Haiti (Institut de Recherche pour la Promotion de l'Artisanat Haïtien IRPAH) being held on 16 and 17 October at the Parc Historique de la Canne-à-Sucre in Haiti.

Nearly 170 artisans from different city (Port-au-Prince, Petit-Goâve, Croix-des-Bouquets, Jacmel, Camp Perrin, Petit Trou de Nippes and Jérémie, taking part in this cultural event which brings in value the creative genius of Haiti through the cut metal pieces, stone, beaded items, paper mache, wood carving, ceramics etc...

The haitian fashion is also present in "Artisanat en Fête" with the participation of several designers including David André, Jean Yves Marchand and Phelicia Dell, who will host fashion shows. For this 4th edition for the first time, are also present twenty artisans presenting food products typically Haitian (dishes of rice Lalo and red bean, pistachio bars, rice national dous makòs, konparèt-Jeremie, etc...)

The music is provided by musical groups such RAM, the Tambours d'Artcho, Racine Mapou of Azor, JAP etc...
