Saturday evening as part of the 13th edition of the Gold Cup at MT Bank Stadium in Baltimore, the Grenadiers, faced in 1/4 final Jamaica. From the start the Grenadiers have been surprised with a goal by Giles Barnes in the 6th minute [1-0]. At halftime, the score was unchanged.

After the break the Grenadiers, have not been able to change the score despite 25 shots during the match, including 7 framed by Grenadiers, compared to 15 by Jamaica including 6 framed. It is with desolation that the Grenadiers will return to their clubs based on the achievements of this adventure for the next deadlines.

Dr. Yves Jean Bart, President of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) congratulated the players for everything they have given on the field Saturday and throughout the competition, "There is no need to lament or discourage you," declared to players Jean Bart, believing that a group was born of this adventure.

For the other match of the day, the United States that faced Cuba, won a crushing victory against Cuban [6-0], including a tripled from Demsey. Jamaicans will face the United States in the semifinals.

The next 1/4 final matches will take place this Sunday : Trinidad VS Panama @ 4:30 p.m. and Mexico VS Costa Rica at 7:30 p.m.

Note that the upcoming release of the Grenadiers will take place in September, with the third round of qualifying for the CONCACAF for the World Cup FiFA, RUSSIA 2018. Haiti will play the 4 and 8 September against an opponent to be named on 26 July in Saint Petersburg, Russia, during the draw for the qualifiers for this competition.
