Tuesday, Francois Rothchild Jr., spokesman of the Government, accompanied by Calvin Cadet, General Director of the Ministry of Communication, has proceeded with the installation of Gamall Augustin as new Director General of the National Radio and Television of Haiti. Recall that Gamall Augustin held the position of Deputy General Director of RTNH since May 2012, he takes over from Hérold Israël (appointed January 2015). Note that Gamall Augustin is the seventh DG to be installed to the RTNH since May 2011.

In his intervention, Rotchild Francois Jr. reminded the new holder, he will have to run this media in accordance with the roadmap of the Head of State, stating some of the challenges facing the new entrants such as, inter alia: the coverage of the elections, of the Arts Festival of the Caribbean (Carifesta) and the digital transition...

Furthermore, Rotchild Francois Jr. during his intervention in the show "Matin Magazine" broadcasted on the TNH, said the Haitian National Television was an open space to all candidates in the upcoming elections and for the population, in accordance with the rules of democracy.
