The Executive Board of the Platform PHTK condemns with the greatest vehemence the acts of violence [whose each party blames his opponents] recorded almost everywhere in the country during the parliamentary campaign that takes place in view of the elections on 9 August.

The Platform, presents its sympathies to political parties victims of violence and to the victims and their parents and calls for the spirit of tolerance of all political actors involved in the electoral process and their supporters and sympathizers, so that people can express themselves freely and peacefully through the ballot box.

It remains convinced that strict respect for democratic principles and the healthy exchange of ideas are the only warranties which can lead us towards free, democratic and inclusive elections to renew political staff.
