Haiti - Elections : Jude Celestin self-proclaimed President !
Several thousand people took part Wednesday on the public place of Croix-des-Bouquets (north of the capital) to the launching of the 2nd phase of the presidential campaign for the candidate of the platform INITE. Candidate backed by outgoing President Rene Preval.

Contrary to the other candidates who enter in campaign for searching the electorate, Jude Célestin announced "quite simply" that he is the winner and self-proclaimed, without complex, President! "We already won. Let us not fall into the trap of provocation" appealing to non-violence to his followers and supporters so they do not fall into the traps of the opposition. "The violent they are weak. We, we are strong because we are the most numerous" said the heir President Préval.

Paying no attention to recent accusations by Paul Raymond OP Lavalas leader who estimated Tuesday to more than $20 million the amount currently used by Celestin to finance the impressive propaganda campaign orchestrated through the country to promote its image. Funds which according to the chief of OP Lavalas would come from public funds.

In this electoral meeting where the improvisation was obvious, Jude Célestin was well kept of speaking about its vision or of its political program, prefer to refer to its assessment in charge of the National center of Equipment (CNE) for launching in leitmotiv its slogan "we have already done".

Jude Celestin was for the occasion with many musicians who support his candidacy: Gracia Delva (trend Konpa) parliamentary candidate, Eddie Francis (Boukan Ginen) and Gazman Peter Azor (root tendency), Don Cato (ragga) Gazzman Coleur (Konpa) as well as many other deputies include: Kély Bastien, the President of the Senate, and his colleagues Jean-Charles Moses, John Joël Joseph and Rudolph Joasil, former Lavalas Deputy Valcin Pierre Jérôme, Marie-Denise Claude A defector from the Fusion of Social Democrats, Yvon Antoine, a former Lavalas OP leader...

Many buses, [including the state company Dignity], have been mobilized to transport supporters from various communes of the west.

Already a winner? The provocative tone of Jude Celestin may well have the opposite effect to his appeals for calm and non-violence. His attitude [arrogant], beyond its supporters, can only fuel the popular belief [which anticipates already frauds], to see on these statements the confirmation of an election organized where everything is preordained. Besides the disastrous demobilizing effect, that such behavior could induce on the participation of the voters in the poll of next November.
