Haiti - Justice : The Minister Casimir condemns electoral violence
Pierre Richard Casimir, the Minister of Justice and Public Security, strongly condemns the recent acts of violence occurred in some parts of the country during the electoral process.

In order to strengthen the serene and secure environment conducive to the proper conduct of the election "the Minsitry reiterated its formal instructions to the Government Commissioners near the Courts of First Instance in all jurisdictions of the country and the police authorities in order to prosecute all perpetrators, co-perpetrators and accomplices of reprehensible acts and bring them before the competent courts in accordance with the Act and the Electoral Decree.

The National Police is mobilized to ensure national coverage before, during and after election day. The prosecuting authorities and the courts of peace of the Republic will work continuously to ensure the expeditious of any record that they will be seized."
says the Minister Casimir adding "The Ministry invites everyone to contribute patriotically to the smooth running of the electoral process. Violence, wherever it comes, will absolutely not be tolerated and in each case the competent authorities will take all the legal measures required."
