Friday around 9:00 am, the lifeless body of a young Haitian woman identified as Johanne Paul ged about 20 years, was found in La Segunda Calle Tercera, in Pedernales, Dominican border town neighboring the town of Anse-à-Pitres (Southeast of Haiti).

The Dominican police opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the murder and find the culprits. Two Haitian nationals were detained for questioning.

Me Eleuterio Cuevas Herasme representing the prosecution, and the Department of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence believe the victim was killed in another place and the body was transported to the place where it was found.

According to initial medical findings of Dr. Jose Luis Vallejo, in the morgue of the hospital Dr. Elio Fiallo, which was transported the body of the victim, she would have been strangled in the night from Thursday to Friday. The body bears many traces of bruises on one hand and on the body signs that the victim defended against his attacker(s). It is too early to say whether the victim was raped.

Police is looking for questioning, a certain Valeci, with whom the victim lived before they separated there are about one month.
