Haiti - Politic : «Youth, Let us wake up !» Message from the young president of GJH 12/08/2015 11:16:15 Extract from the message of the young President Amos Cincir : "We can not achieve sustainable development without involving Youth. Although opportunities, particularly for young women, to engage politically, economically and socially in their communities, in their country and internationally, are very few. Haiti Youth, stop being silent and passive on the situation of our country, we will pay the price in the future. To quote Martin Luther King: 'A community does not die just because of the injustice of evil men, but above all, because of the silence and passivity of good men.' With this thought, every young Haitian must take responsibility and participate in the process of transformation of the Haitian nation sick because of poor governance of many of our leaders. It is urgent that the Haitian Youth, hope of this country, is actively involved with more determination in promoting peace through concrete and positive actions for a sustainable development of our country. Youth, Let us wake up ! The situation will continue and history will continue to repeat itself if we do not put hands in building the new Haiti we all dream. Have faith, everything can change from our voices and stop being afraid ! That is why I am speaking to you young people of the Diaspora, who also represents the future of Haiti. I invite you to get involved and demonstrate a willingness to live together with the pride of being Haitian. I invite civil society organizations, the private sector in Haiti, as well as international institutions to intensify their efforts [...] to give more interest to the concerns of our youth, who has genius and creativity in the realization of a common vision for a society of peace and prosperity. Happy celebrations to all of you Long live the Haitian youth !"
